Crunchyroll 2.0

Crunchyroll 2.0 is a project where the Crunchyroll website and apps will be modernized and updated for the first time in many years. The majority of it is initially going to be based on VRV. As such, a lot of the work I’ve done for it has been creating a new design system and pattern library, as well as a few pages that really build upon the features we started on VRV. This is an example of a more fleshed out homefeed for Crunchyroll. There are tons of features that users have been asking for, like a glanceable release calendar, Access to your watchlist and continue watching as well as anime recommendations on a personalized homefeed

CR Design System

One thing that I was really focusing on in this redesign was making sure that we had a lot more Accessibility stuff ready to go than on VRV. Aria labels for stuff, keyboard focus states, etc.

One thing I did that I am especially proud of was making the default color for the text this magenta color, so if the text size or anything ever changes it updates instances of that with the magenta color so its easy to identify what needs to be checked and have the correct coloring applied.
